Initial Sessions

Initial sessions (30 mins), course appointments should be no longer than 7 days apart. If the appointments are not within this timescale more sessions may be needed.
Every dog is different and therefore we cannot guarantee the result or number of appointments to complete the course.
On average 2-5 sessions are needed before moving onto maintenance appointments.

Maintenance

Maintenance cleaning for (15 mins), must be carried out within 4-12 weeks of the previous appointment.
Maintenance cleaning can only take place once your pet has completed an initial course within 4-12 weeks/or on a groomer’s recommendation where they have suggested maintenance sessions.
For e.g this would apply to puppies.

Teeth Cleaning Session

Millie’s Pet Services will use the Cleany Teeth ultrasound toothbrush on your furiend which has no manual movement and no noise.

Where possible staff will take before and after photos of your furiends dental health progress.

The results will vary depending on your furiends current dental health, diet, previous dental health/visits and behaviour during the sessions.

I understand that the purpose of the cleaning is to help maintain my furiends dental health and is not for vanity purposes.

Tartar, plaque, stains and bacteria will be gradually removed from teh teeth during the course.  Our staff may use additional tools to help this process.

There may be some minor signs of blood on the gum line during and after teeth cleaning as the tartar and the plaque is broken down.  The ultrasound technology increases blood flow which helps to heal gums and remove bacteria.

Staff will stop the teeth cleaning session and advise to seek veterinary assistance if:

  • Any loose teeth are suspected
  • If your furiend objects and/or becomes stressed or aggressive
  • Any obvious normalities are visible or suspected in the mouth including but not limited to:
    • A foreign body embedded in the mouth;
    • Oral warts
    • Oral injuries; or
    • Tumours

If the session is stopped for any health or behaviour reasons, Millie’s Pet Services will take full payment for the session.

Declaration:

I do not know of any medical reason why teeth cleaning cannot be carried out on my furiend and I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to inform staff in the future should this be the case.

I am aware that the teeth cleaning service is not a substitute for a veterinary inspection and staff are not qualified to diagnose abnormalities or disease.

I consent to all of the above and confirm that I am the legal/owner guardian of the furiend named.

Accidents:

There is always the possibility that an accident could occur; grooming equipment is sharp and even though we use extreme caution and careif a dog is wiggling or moving around, accidents can happen.

In most cases these are easily treatable with first aid on site by our canine first aid trained staff.

However, should the accident require veterinary care, we will seek this immediately and endeavour to contact you.  In these instances, we are fully insured and will always put your furiends health and wellbeing first.
